Change is in the air
I know this blog has been a sad scene for the last couple of months. Between Facebook and working our digital family photo book for 2008, my computer time has been maxed out. Blogging is a cyclical thing for me I guess.
Anyway, here's a catch-up:
~ Garrett has lost 3 teeth since my last post - and they're all up top, which makes him SUPER cute right now. (pictures coming)
He and Halle Grace both are reading now - we are so proud of their progress!
~ Halle Grace has decided to take a break from gymnastics and try ballet for while. She had her first class yesterday and LOVED it! She's also about to start swimming lessons to get her ready for our beach trip this Spring.
~ Grant is growing up before our eyes - Santa surprised him with an iPod Nano for Christmas and he is just SO big, I can't stand it!
~ Our big family news is that we are trying to move. We put our house on the market (by owner, but on MLS) last week and we've had several showings so far. No nibbles, yet, though. We could use a little more space for the kids (Grant is dying for his own room), and it's such a good time to buy, we thought this might be our opportunity. We're trying to stay in the same area. We'll see how it goes! In the meantime, it is nice to have a clean house all the time. :)
~ Christmas has come and gone, and it was a great one! Halle Grace loved every minute of it, as we knew she would. It's amazing how quickly they get used to it all! Santa brought her a kitchen - the one she had been asking for for weeks. She loved it and it was so much fun watching her take it all in. We had our 2nd annual sleepover at my parents, which is a huge highlight for the kids. We also had a big family get-together in Borger with Scott's family for the first time in several years. That was a great time as well. We are blessed with great families, 3 incredible kids, time to spend together, and a Saviour who renews, strengthens, and forgives us daily. We couldn't ask for anything more - 2008 was a great year for our family.
We are looking forward to 2009 and what the Lord has in store for us! It may not be as dramatic as last year, but it will be an adventure nonetheless, I'm sure!
I will post pictures later today. Photoshop is SO slow right now. Happy Thursday!
