Twas the Night Before School

Twas the night before school starts
and all through the house
not a creature was stirring
except mom with her keyboard and mouse

The children were nestled all snug in their beds
while visions of school days danced in their heads

The backbacks are all lined up by the door
ready for folders, lunches, and more

Will their teachers be kind? Will they miss their mom?
Will they make friends quickly? Will the kids get along?

May the Lord send extra angels
to guide you through your day.
May he send you special friends
who will ask you to play.
